My posts are rational and analytical compared to the fracture, disjointed rants he comes up with. Not exactly an fully integrated personality. Spit on a schizophrenic, too. I'd rather have schizophrenia than what he's got. Apparently he's done well in business but around here he can't find his ass with both hands. Loves to talk about himself on the board though, posts pictures of his kid - like anyone cares. I heard a kind word about him once, it was several years ago. He's an example to us all of the reasons not to vote for the Conservatives. This forum has pretty much had it while Ms. Sooey is quitting her job and her forum will probably end. This is probably the end of the line for our group. Elvid was philosophical a while ago that "nothing lasts for ever" and that would the size of it.

Just this morning I almost tripped on a twig. Thank heaven we can come here and avoid all the high-minded obstacles life shoves in our path. It's a great place to develop and grow. You get the honest truth, none of that false fawning crap that gives you a big head. Look at it as a character building opportunity.

I have looked into immigration for 19 years now and had many insights. For one economists consider it a backwater of the field whereas in fact it's a national economic strategy. For another there are very few economists around the world expert in immigration. Also economics is a field and has a pretence to being empirical where as it's a social science. The place is full of holes. I have something else to tell you, generally people have a pretty good grip on this. In particular I have had two insights in 19 years on immigration that would lead to an improvement in the Western immigration economies. The main one, about official unemployment, can be expressed in one sentence. David Dodge writes me that ideas such as that are useful in setting interest rates. The Federal Reserve Bank economists call my idea "innovative". However 8ace's mind is so disjoint there's no point in going over it. He' not interested. Left to themselves people won't try to work up to a good judgement. This why they need to be lead. There's a Metropolis Group for Excellence in Immigration Research in Canada but they tend to produce papers on multiculturalism. I've written to all these immigration experts to no effect. They have no time. I did get some acceptance for my idea of hidden unemployment from the British House of Lords, David Dodge and the Federal Reserve Bank.
