Wouldn't it be fun if technology had advanced to the point where you could play national politics on a computer game and see the outcomes, just like my
boys can run a game like NHL'09, trade players to their favourite teams, and have the system simulate the season with their hypothetical line ups?
Imagine if you could take the current realities, and insert the full idiocy of a Jack Layton in as PM, and watch as the computer executes the next couple of years, with a difficult economy, regional aspirations, and interest groups like the Sri Lankans and Natives feeling even more empowered to run roughshod over an authority that despises, er,...authority. All the super-lefties inserting their heroes, expecting the best, and then watching instantaneous armageddon, thinking the New World Orderists are pulling the strings in the background of the software. The facts have a left wing bias.....if you grew up in some groovy home where mom and dad had no concrete values, consistency and ambition, so you left home married, reproduced a bunch, had dad fuck off, railed against people wanting some normalcy and responsibility in their affairs and government (sound familiar Sooage?). I think all those fucked up fuckers just sort of discount the gross failures of Trudeau, Bob Rae, Dalton.....and think that if somehow Kennedy hadn't been shot, he was on the cusp of making the U.S. a socialist nirvana giant motherfucker commune that would have existed on honey and granola and revolutionized the world. Is it any wonder that these 'jobs think that fucking Jack, with his social housing DINK lifestyle with his second or whatever 'wife' and running around seeking hot young male bums while flip-flopping and spouting hypocracy knows the way? Me thimks not! It's the inertia of the unbalanced, now complemented by the 3rd world order filling up the cities with the ability to harmonize the dysfunctionality. |
