So the main issue is the unions wanting to keep 18 days a year of sick leave that they can bank. Sure..that's fair! 
meanwhile...no garbage pickup, no daycare, no ferry service...and the good news is, no multi-cultural music shows at nathan phillip's square... |

So what's happening to Toronto's biggest export of 400 trucks daily hauling garbage to Michigan.
If the City of Ottawa can weather a bus strike through one of the worst winters in recent memory so can Toronto get used to the smell of dirty diapers over the Summer. Or Millertime can call in the army. |

About 40 minutes before the 12:01 a.m. deadline at which a walkout was to begin if there was no deal, the Ontario Public Service Employees Union put a statement on its website saying the strike deadline had been delayed while talks continued. "We would not be extending the strike deadline if we did not feel that we can reach a collective agreement through negotiation," said Vanda Klumper, chair of the union bargaining team. "There remain problems to be ironed out, but if the LCBO is committed to reaching a settlement it can be done. |

Crikey...it was like xmas at the LCBO last night...loaded up mr cart to the gills...guy in front of me had 2 carts filled with cases of Molson
Canadian...didn't have the heart to tell him he could still pick up that shit at the Beer Store regardless of what happens with the LCBO.

City Management. Pride Toronto, in a show of solidarity for CUPE, will not contract out their garbage needs. You can cancel all other events in Toronto except
this one.

TO has the LOUDEST garbage trucks I've ever heard. I don't know that anyone needed further proof of the all-encompassing suckitude of Sid Ryan, but
