Loved the breakfast section.

"Does the sausage act as a buffer for the bean juice?"

I love bean juice.

Hot bean sandwich:

1/2 can Libby's (now Heinz) deep browned beans - preferably the top half, so you can steal all the bean juice.

Heat beans in saucepan slowly until bubbly. Place half the beans on a piece of fresh bread, generously buttered. Top with another slice of fresh bread, generously buttered. Pour remaining beans overtop. Allow bean juice to melt butter and soak into bread.

The middle is my favourite. I had to divorce my husband because he used to eat the middles of my bean sandwiches. Whenever I'd make one for myself he'd ask for one bite, and do that. >:

Kind of like a hot roast beef sandwich, but not toasted, and without the roast beef and gravy. ;)
