because, alas, it contained a bone....which was up to a point detumescing....i of course soldiered on to 'coition' since i'm as frugal as any french housewife........hmmpphhh!...nearly used a whole bottle of mint sauce choking THAT dinner down.....i remember i served it with slivered haricot verts and an inferior veloute sauce with boiled new potatoes tossed in butter and persil......and a bottle of Ackerman rose' to wash it down.
