End of the world for Skeeter Davis. She was 73. The artist, born Mary Frances Penick in Dry Ridge, Ky., had battled breast cancer since 1988. After meeting Betty Jack Davis in high school, she adopted the name Skeeter Davis so the duo could perform as the Davis Sisters. |

Unfortunately there DDD, nobody has anybody yet. It's time to make our predictions though. Gimme a while and I'll start it off (once I find my old list).

Yep, I'm off to make my list, too. For real this time. Really. I mean it.

I'm feeling a bit listless too. Recall that I had ten Gords but they seem to have strong Presbyterian constitutions.

How did Russ Meyer die? Did some Twin Towers collapse or something?

I feel I ought to be dead this morning - Brigitte Bardot celebrated her 70th this week - (and to think I drooled over that babe when I was a mere stripling)

Interesting Ugly Ducklings article, Elvid. Good story about Hendrix playing Peterborough, building a pool for Paul Henderson.

Good article, Elvid. I liked the Ugly Ducklings...still have the "Gaslight" 45... Met one of them when I was 14 but can't remember which one.

well well itty bitty!...that photo of bardot was taken off the front of the ritz carleton in cannes!...oh what memories...the hookers on the hotel side...the cross dressing hookers on the seaside!!...with a bellyfull of vin rouge one often had difficulty determining who was what.....just a gauche was the ' voeil a vent' bar and a droit the port pierre canto where the mystery bark 39 ft. yawl 'fandango' berthed...her crew of 6 nationalities and their sole aim indulging every dark proclivity in every moist declivity....and of course aiding international trade in hashish rothmans cigs and johnny walker black label scotch...WE thought globally and were freetraders LONG before it became the fashion!
