Last night (Sunday) CBC ran an installment of The Passionate Eye wherein members of the Weather Underground were shown during their activities and activism in the late '60's and as they are now -in jail and out.
The piece was also interspersed with dramatic (and very graphic) footage of the war in Vietnam and the war on America's streets.
I was surprised to learn that some of the most disturbing footage of the aftermath of the My Lai massacre was taken by Life Magazine photographers who were there but apparently were not "embedded". They shot what they saw. Sadly, as in one particularly sickening clip, so did a number of American GI's.
Did anyone else watch The Passionate Eye last night? If so, what did you think? -especially in light of current events and coverage of those events.
